Geography
The Bolshoi Samovets River originates at the village of Pavlovka, Petrovsky District, Tambov Region. It flows to the southeast in an open area, crosses the border of the Lipetsk region. In the Lipetsk region flows through the territory of the Gryazinsky district . It flows into the Samovets river on the northern outskirts of the village of Big Samovets . The mouth of the river is 5 km along the left bank of the Samovets river. The length of the river is 23 km.
In 1978, an automobile bridge was thrown across the river along the Oryol - Tambov highway ( Lipetsk Ring Road ).
The left bank from the border of the regions beyond the village of Peskovatsky is occupied by garden plots.

According to the state water register of Russia, it belongs to the Don Basin District , the water sector of the river is Matyra , the river sub-basin is the basins of the Don tributaries before the Khopra confluence. The river basin of the river is Don (the Russian part of the basin) [2] .
