Member of the ensemble was in 1973 . Together released several albums. Known was not only talent, but also bad habits, unsociable lifestyle, conflicts with other team members and managers. Very popular in life, after death is recognized as the legendary, one of the greatest Polish vocalists.
In 1977, he married Malgorzate Paul, two children were born in marriage: in 1978, the son Sebastian, in 1980, the daughter Caroline. The son is also a musician, vocalist for the Cree blues band. He died in 1994. The cause of death is heart failure.
Several biographies have been written about Ryszard Riedel. In 1994, the first documentary about his life was shot, then in 2004 - the second. In 2005, the feature film “ Skazany na bluesa ” (“Sentenced to the Blues”) was shot. Since 1999, the annual festival named after him has been held in Tychy .
