Story
Richard Pryor plays the role of a writer, middle-aged American Jack Brown ( born Jack Brown ), who desperately needs money and cannot find a job. After unsuccessful attempts to get a place in the local newspaper, he gets a job as a janitor and waiter to the owner of the newspaper, Yu.S. Bates ( US Bates ), a big businessman. His son Eric ( born Eric Bates ) chooses Brown as a living toy.
