Designed to arm a Mi-24 helicopter under the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the USSR 1044–381 of December 26, 1968, together with the YakB machine gun . Currently used on Ka-29 helicopters and in helicopter gondolas GUV along with the machine gun YakB.
