Donna Jenson is a girl from a small town, who was always attracted to the sky and planes, and she dreamed of becoming a stewardess. Soon, Donna gets a job on local airlines and all her free time reads the autobiographical book of the famous stewardess Sally Weston .
Some time later, she decides to try herself in a large and famous airline and convinces her best friend Kristina to go with her. At the airline they attend summer courses, then Donna gets acquainted with her idol Sally Weston, who helps her set herself up for the first class of international airlines. But when test results become known, Donna is surprised to find that she was sent on a suburban route to Cleveland . It later turns out that Christina changed the number on the forms, and her test was mistaken for Donna's test, so Christina is sent to New York .
Donna works on local airlines, deciding to try to pass the exams in a year. In Cleveland, she meets future lawyer Ted Stewart and moves to him, meeting Christmas with his family. Donna later goes to Sally Weston, confident that an error has occurred with her test. Sally checks Christina and discovers that she is stealing things and spirits for passengers. Ultimately, Donna achieves a re-examination and scores a maximum of 100 points, which is the best result in 7 years. However, now she has to choose between Ted and a career. Donna chooses a career and gets everything she dreamed of: “ Paris , first class, international”, but soon realizes that she is still unhappy. Donna misses Ted and returns to Cleveland.
