Currently, a monument of archeology is destroyed as a result of construction work and flooding. The vast majority of the cultural layer of the ancient settlement was in a redeposited, destroyed state. Nevertheless, thanks to many years of work at the site of the settlement, it was possible to save a large amount of archaeological material for scientific purposes and museum exhibits. Currently, the collection includes 38,811 items. A significant collection of archaeological materials from the excavations of Lake Lipetsk led to the conclusion about the multi-ethnic character of the settlement of this natural and geographical zone, i.e., the forest-steppe bottom.
