Uryangato ( Spanish: Uriangato ) is the city and administrative center of the municipality of the same name in the Mexican state of Guanajuato . The population according to the 2010 census was 51,382.

History
February 20, 1604 , according to the Royal Decree, the village of San Miguel de Uryangato was founded.
On November 19, 1951, the village was renamed Uryangato and received city status.
