Story
Four Harlem teens, Q (Quincy), Bishop, Rahim and Steel, once again skip classes at school when they learn that their old friend was killed while robbing a bar. After that, Bishop tells his friends that they "have no respect." To get it, they rob a corner grocery store , and the crazy Bishop deliberately shoots the clerk because Steel shouted the name of Rahim. Friends run out into the alley where Rahim asks Bishop to give him a weapon, they fight, and Rahim is shot dead. Bishop becomes a leader since he has weapons. Policemen come to the DJ tournament and interrogate friends. Bishop blames Radames (Bishop's enemy, Puerto Rican bandit). Q ignores Bishop, and Bishop terrorizes Q, their friendship collapses. Radames attacks Bishop with a knife for telling the cops that a Puerto Rican allegedly killed Rahim. Bishop kills Radames with the same gun. Bishop decides to get rid of the two witnesses, and makes an attempt to kill Steel, then he goes to Trip (the owner of the billiard room) and blames Q. Steel survives and is taken by Q ambulance in front of Q. There, the cops' chase for Q begins, but he manages to escape. Q goes for advice to Trip, who accuses Quincy of killing all of Bishop's victims. Q asks Trip to give Bishop a one-on-one meeting. Yolanda (girl Q) volunteers in a city hospital and sees Steel alive. Steel tells her everything. At the meeting, Bishop wounded Q with a shot in the arm, but he manages to escape to a crowded place, there Bishop loses his weapon and now Q is chasing Bishop. A fight breaks out on the roof of the house, in which Bishop falls from the roof. The film ends with shots from the beginning of the film and the dedication of the film Janet and Tamu.
