Club
Best known for playing for the Bremen Werder Bremen , which included in 2004 became the Bundesliga's top scorer and the first foreigner to be awarded the title of best soccer player of the year in Germany .
In 2008, he played for the Austrian Altach , from where he was fired at the end of August.
On March 12, 2009, Ailton signed a contract with the Campinense club, which was playing at that time in the second most important league in Brazil ( Serie B ). Not staying for a long time (1 game, 1 goal scored) and Campinense relegated to Serie C , in the summer of 2009 signed an agreement with the Chinese Chongqing Lifan playing in the Super League of China .
