Borba ( port. Borba ; ['bɔɾbɐ] ) is an urban-type village in Portugal , the center of the eponymous municipality of Évora County. The population is 4.6 thousand inhabitants (village), 7.5 thousand inhabitants (municipality). The village and municipality is part of the Alentejo region and the Alentejo-Central subregion. According to the old administrative division, it was part of the province of Altu Alentejo .
