Achipse (fortress)

The fortress of Achips is an archaeological monument of the early Middle Ages ( VII - X centuries ). It is located on the crest of the mountain at the confluence of the Achips River in Mzymta , north of the outskirts of the village of Esto-Sadok . This is the largest construction of the Krasnaya Polyana region of this kind. During excavations, numerous fragments of ceramic and glassware, as well as individual metal objects, were found here.
