Erfurt County ( German: Bezirk Erfurt ) is a district in the German Democratic Republic , was formed in 1952 after the liquidation of land in the German Democratic Republic as one of 15 districts .

It consisted of 13 districts, 2 cities of district subordination and 719 communes:
- City of District Submission Erfurt
- City of District Submission Weimar
- Apolda District (allocated from Weimar)
- Arnstadt District
- Eisenach district
- Erfurt District
- Gotha District
- Heiligenstadt District
- Langensaltz District
- Mühlhausen District
- Nordhausen District
- Sömmerd District (isolated from the Kölled area - the former Ekartsberg District)
- Sonderhausen District
- Weimar District
- Worbis District
In connection with the restoration of land was liquidated in 1990 .
