Story
Jack Monicker, a firefighter from Chicago , becomes unworkable due to an accident. With the money received on insurance, he wants to go to the Caribbean and enjoy life there. He decides to become Caribbean Saint Nicholas . He buys a small piece of land for himself and lives there with other people tired of the benefits of civilization on the island. Among them are politician Anthony Sloden Hayes.
Jack Ernest's friend cannot pay for his house on the coast and is at risk of eviction. Jack helps him with money and they become partners in the Paradise club. With the help of various techniques, such as, for example, the fisheye (lens) , they expand the room with photos. [ clarify ] With the help of the Phillips, which Jack had his eyes on, they are trying to establish an art club. Soon they succeed, tourists begin to visit the club, even those who are more accustomed to the traditional Caribbean lifestyle - sex and drugs.
Voith Cerbe is a speculator in land. He wants Jack and Ernest to sell the site in order to build a large casino on it. Authorities and supervisory institutions are beginning to make claims to the Paradise Club, since Cerbe is on a short leg with the island’s prime minister. Despite this, Jack and Ernest do not give up. The Prime Minister orders the soldiers to attack the club. With the help of Hayes, Jack defeats the prime minister, while Cerbe leaves the island. And the club "Paradise" continues to exist.
