Hohutla ( Spanish Jojutla ) is the city and administrative center of the municipality of the same name in the Mexican state of Morelos . The population according to the 2010 census was 18,867 people.

General information
The name Jojutla comes from the Nahuatl language and can be translated as: a place where the azure sky .
The settlement was founded long before colonization. The first mention dates back to 1425 , when the city was captured by the troops of Itskoatl . In 1522, Hernan Cortes entered the settlement.
May 15, 1873 Khokhutla received the status of a city [3] .
