Camarón de Tejeda ( Spanish: Camarón de Tejeda ) is the city and administrative center of the eponymous municipality in the Mexican state of Veracruz . The population according to the 2010 census was 2,106.

History
In colonial time, Hacienda Camaron was here. On April 30, 1863, a battle took place at Camaron between the French Foreign Legion and the Mexican forces.
The city was founded in 1927 under the name "Villa Tejeda". Subsequently, the name “Camaron” was added the name of the Governor of the State of Veracruz Sixto Adalberta Tejeda-Olivares.
