General Information
In the pre-Columbian era, this place was called Cuitzeo ( skunks' place ) in the Tarasco language.
In 1852, the city was renamed in honor of José Mariano Abasolo , the hero of the war of independence from Spain.
Main activities: agricultural production, a resort center located on thermal waters [2] .
