Ruslan Nikolayevich Goncharov ( Ukrainian Goncharov Ruslan Mikolayovich ; born January 20, 1973 in Odessa , Ukraine ) is a Ukrainian figure skater who performed ice dancing in pair with Elena Grushina . With her, they are the bronze medalists of the Winter Olympics in Turin , the bronze medalists of the 2005 World Cup , multiple medalists of the European Championships , champions of the Winter Universiade .

Career
Together they began to ride in 1990 . The pair appeared on the international sports arena for the first time in Canada at the Junior World Championships at the end of November 1991 , playing in the USSR , they lacked a bit of luck to climb the podium.
During his sports career, he worked with Natalya Linichuk and Gennady Karponosov , with Tatyana Tarasova , the last coach is Nikolai Morozov . In 2006, they became bronze medalists of the Winter Olympics in Turin . The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine chose Grushina and Goncharov as the best athletes of 2006. [one]
After Sports
After the Olympics, the couple left amateur sports. In 1995, Elena and Ruslan got married. They lived in the United States in Connecticut . The pair was in demand on various ice shows and tours in the USA, Europe, Russia and Ukraine.
In 2006, Ruslan took part in the TV show of the Russian RTR channel "Dancing on Ice" where he performed in tandem with gymnast Irina Chashchina , in 2007 in the television show "Dancing on Ice. Velvet season ”with actress Amalia Mordvinova , and in 2008, Yana Rudkovskaya became Ruslan’s partner in the show“ Star Ice ”. In the same year, they divorced Elena Grushina. 2010, Ruslan takes part in the TV show of the First Channel “Ice and Flame” paired with Kazakhstani actress Linda Nigmatulina , where the couple stands for Kazakhstan.
In professional shows, she performs with former Russian figure skater Anastasia Gorshkova (she performed in ice dancing with Ilya Tkachenko and was with him the bronze medalist of the World Junior Championship in 2005 ).
In 2009, he headed the Figure Skating Academy in Brovary ( Kiev region ).
Awards and Titles
- March 16, 2006 , for achieving high sports results, by the Decree of the President of Ukraine, Ruslan Goncharov was awarded the Order of Merit of the III degree [2] .
