Give birth

Roza (Sosnovka) - a river flowing in the urban district of Podolsk, Moscow region . Length - 6 km. The wide part of the river has a length of 800 m and is divided into two parts by a small stream . The widest place is the mouth (100 m). The flow is weak, the bottom is clay. The depth is no more than 1.5 m , however during floods the water level in the river increases by several meters. Residents of the city of Klimovsk called this river Sosnovka (due to the fact that there is a coniferous forest near the river) and mixed, in which there are raspberries. On the banks a lot of strawberries. Earlier (the end of the 80s and the beginning of the 90s, when the KMZ (Klimovsky Machine Building Plant) was finishing its existence), waste was dumped into the river, but now the ecological situation of the river is favorable. Muskrats, ducks live on dams. On the opposite side of the forest there is a field where there are many colorful lupins. Water lilies bloom on the water surface, yellow irises near the coast. In the summer, many come here to swim and sunbathe. Locals almost every day go to the river to watch the sunset, get some fresh air in the forest. For walking a lot of tracks. There are also lovers of cycling. The river flows into the river Petritsu .

Scheme of the river.

The river has a glacial origin. Initially, it was a stream up to three meters wide, after the construction of the dam on Petritsa and the dam on the Rozai itself two ponds were formed. Several more ponds are located in the area of Sertyakino village and Tyatino village. Now all ponds are drying up and overgrown. In areas that were covered with water twenty years ago, trees that are up to 4 meters high have now grown.

In the 80s of the 20th century, vegetable gardens began to appear on the site where the wider part of the river flows into the stream. Potatoes , rye , berries and other crops were grown on the banks. The gardens were fenced with fences collected from scrap materials, and on the plots there were small sheds . All the gardens had access to the stream. The first sheds are not preserved, areas are overgrown, but later gardens are still used (sections behind the bridge and to the village of Sertyakino ). From the village Sertyakino to SNT "Polyanka" the river flows through the field, but trees grow on the banks of the river. In the past 15 years, numerous cottages have been built on the north shore of the wide part of Sosnovka.
