Construction History
The order for the construction of the boat was given to the shipbuilding company AG Weser in Bremen on September 25, 1939 . The boat was laid down on March 23, 1940 under building number 700, launched on March 1, 1941, and on July 8, 1941, under the command of Captain-Lieutenant Hans-Ludwig Witt, it became part of the 4th Flotilla training.
Service History
