Lev Moiseyevich Abeliovich ( January 6, 1912 , Vilna - December 3, 1985 , Minsk ) was a Belarusian Soviet composer, Honored Art Worker of the Belarusian SSR (1963), a student of V. A. Zolotaryov and N. Ya. Myaskovsky .

Born on December 24 (old style) in 1911 in Vilna, in the family of Moses Leibovich Abelovich and Eva Elyash-Haimovna Abelovich, born in Vilna. He studied at the Warsaw Conservatory from 1935 to 1939, in 1941 he graduated from the Belarusian Conservatory.
Author of 4 symphonies (1962-83), concert for piano and orchestra ( 1979 ), piano cycle "Frescos", D. Shostakovich's vocalization , vocal cycles, choirs, songs, romances , music for radio plays, etc. He wrote music with lyrics by I Kolas , M. Tank , A. Mitskevich , M. Bogdanovich .
