At the end of December, in a bitter struggle, they won first place in the national championship; leaving behind their former partners. In January 2018, all Chinese couples withdrew from the continental championship. In early February, before the opening of the Olympic Games in South Korea, the couple began to compete in the team tournament . They finished in Gangneung in the middle of the standings. In the future, the PRC team did not reach the final part. In mid-February 2018, competitions began in the individual tournament . Question about changing age

In February 2011, the Associated Press published material on the replacement of age by Chinese skaters, including Dan Zhang - Hao Zhang. These date of birth of the skaters are different from those indicated in the data of the Federation of China and the International Skating Union (ISU). Tribute Zhang performed in Salt Lake City 2002 at the age of 14, which contradicts the rules of the Games. Then they took 11th place. Later, Dan Zhang and Hao Zhang won the 2006 Turin silver medal. In turn, Hao Zhang was born on February 6, 1982 and could not speak at the 2003 World Junior Championship , where they won. [18]
