Story
The seventh film adaptation of the famous novel and play by George Barr McCutchen (the play was first transferred to the screen back in 1914).
The plot of the film is based on the fact that a baseball team player (black Prior) receives an inheritance of hundreds of millions of dollars from a deceased eccentric relative (white millionaire).
However, not everything is so simple: there is an insidious point in the will. The old man indicated in the message recorded on the film that the heir will receive the full amount only if he can spend $ 30 million a month before the last cent. However, he cannot buy real estate, cars, expensive jewelry, art objects and the like - nothing that can be turned back into money; after a month, he should have nothing left. You can’t destroy anything that has value to humanity.
