Career
At Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland, he scored 3 goals. His goal was widely known, scored against the Croatian national team in the last added minute of overtime , which allowed the Turkish national team to reach the semifinals as a result of the penalty shootout that followed (Szenturk scored one of the shots). In the semifinals, Szentürk equalized in the match against Germany in the 86th minute (2: 2), but Philip Lam in the 90th minute scored the victory for Germany. The Turkish national team eventually received the “ bronze ”.
