Hanson three times was part of the Olympic team in Sweden, which won the silver medal in 1912 games in Stockholm and bronze in 1908 in London and 1920 in Antwerp . Also, at his first Olympics, he received a bronze medal in swimming at 200 meters breaststroke, and the next he stopped at the quarter-finals of this discipline.
