In the second half of the 2000s, EIMIC placed several relevant trends in their music at once - shugeyz , post-rock , IDM and ambient . The first two albums of the group were sustained in this style - they were recorded in England and Canada, and with the material their group, never hiding that they want to move towards Europe, went to festivals like EXIT and Opener and many others.
... The music is delicate, subtle and quivering. Melodies - that balls from crystal ... wrote about the then EIMIC "Poster" |
Starting with the album "Amber", the group changed its direction in the direction of electronic dance music.
An important aspect of the whole work of the group is the visual component. Almost from the moment of its foundation, the group has been working in tandem with the artist Ilya Kolesnikov, who is the author of the covers of the released albums.

History
2005-2011: Getting Started - Albums 4 and Automatic Movements
The first studio album, entitled 4 , recorded after two years of collaborative experimentation and creative research in Canada at Chemical Sound Studios, resonated in the domestic press and in the community forming around the group. For two years, with their debut album, the group gives numerous solo performances in Russia, performs at the opening act of 65daysofstatic and Red Snapper . EIMIC are also invited to perform at European festivals such as the Open'er Festival (2008) and Ilosaarirock (2009). The Rolling Stone columnist howled about the band as follows:
... Everything is made in China is one of the best domestic indie rock bands and one of the most enjoyable discoveries of our independent scene. [one] |
During the summer of 2009, the group worked on recording everything at the same studio in Canada - Chemical Sound, with sound engineers Dean Marino and Jay Sadlowski. First of all, EIMIC took a noticeable step away from the post-rock, in which they were once in a hurry to enter, and the new album is much more focused on songs. Not going to give up on guitars, the group expanded its sound space through electronics and analog keyboards. The second album, dubbed ' Automatic Movements' , was recorded two years after the release of the first. In support of the album, the single "Automatic" was released in October 2009. The album itself was released in December.
... "Automatic Movements" is a completely different matter; the music is delicate, subtle and quivering .... The entire album is extremely consistent in its construction of castles in the air; perhaps there are few outstanding songs on it, but it is as a whole that it makes an extremely encouraging impression. 30em Alexander Gorbachev Poster Blog [2] |
2012-2015: Contract with Snegiri-Muzik, Amber album and the departure of Philippa Premiak
In 2012, the group was signed by Snegiri-music label, which will release the group’s releases and third album in 2013 in Russia. The first release was the single "Parade" , released in March. The album itself was released on April 19, 2013 under the name Amber , on which the group changed the sound towards electronic dance music [1] . At concerts, the new powerful electro-rock EIMIC was supplemented by video art, and the impression was amplified many times.
In 2014, Everything Is Made in China released the single “Through Daybreak Into the Dark” and the EP “Through Daybreak Into the Dark Remixes”, which were recorded in the new studio and released on the Xuman Records label [2] , followed by Philip in 2015 Premiak decided to leave the team for personal reasons. After that, for a while, EIMIC ceased operations.
2016-present: A duet instead of a trio. Aquired Taste Album
In 2016, the group once again broke the silence and posted a new single on the Internet called “Animal Fight Club” . After that, news began to appear about the release of a new full-length album - “Acquired Taste” . The composition of the group was reduced to two people - frontman Maxim Fedorov and drummer Sergei Govorun. In the sound and presentation on stage, much has also changed. According to musicians, EIMIC is entering a new round of its development [3] .
At the end of 2018, the team presented on its official YouTube channel a video for the new single - “The Odissey” [4] . At the end of September 2019, the second single, “Introduction,” was released, and then on the pages of the duo's official accounts appeared information about working on a new fifth studio album.
