History
The company was founded by Minoru Yoneyama in 1946 . The original name is Yoneyama. First products: corks for barrels and floats for fishing nets . After a failure in this business, the company shifted to the production of badminton rackets for other brands ( 1957 ). In 1961 , Yoneyama created its own brand of badminton rackets. Three years later, the company becomes the leader in sales of this type of product in Japan and begins to develop foreign markets . In 1971 , developed rackets for tennis . In 1974 , the company acquired a modern name - Yonex.
