Story
The biopic is a tribute to the jazz saxophonist Charlie Parker , nicknamed Bird. The film is a collage of individual scenes from the life of Parker. Different scenes of the film show his childhood in Kansas City , Missouri , his appearance in New York in 1940, meeting and living with Chen Richardson, drug addiction and premature death at the age of 34. Most of the film is dedicated to the period between 1946 and 1955.
