Sarykol ( kaz. Sarykul ) is a urban-type settlement, the center of Sarykolsky district of Kostanay region of Kazakhstan . Located in the east of the region, 6 km from the railway station Novouritsk (on the Kostanai - Kokshetau line ), on the Kostanai - Kokshetau highway. The administrative center and the only settlement of the Sarykol village administration. The KATO code is 396230100 [2] .

History
The village of Vsesvyatskoe was founded in 1898. It was named in honor of the Church of All Saints located in the village. From 1919 to 1922 the administrative center of the Vsesvyatsky district . In 1923 it was renamed to Uritsky in honor of M. S. Uritsky . In 1997, it was renamed Sarykol.
Population
In 1999, the population of the village was 10,284 people (5,011 men and 5,273 women) [3] . According to the 2009 census , 9469 people (4594 men and 4875 women) lived in the village [3] .
As of January 1, 2016, the population of the village was 8,981 people (4,416 men and 4,565 women) [1] .
