Carlos José Castillo ( port. Carlos José Castilho ) ( November 27, 1927 , Rio de Janeiro - February 2, 1987 , Rio de Janeiro) - Brazilian footballer , goalkeeper, world champion in 1958 and 1962 , together with Pepe and G. Mazetti is one of three two-time world champions who have not played a single match in the winning championships. Member of the world championships 1950 and 1954 . At the 1954 tournament he was the main goalkeeper of the national team, in other cases he was the reserve goalkeeper. He played for one club almost all his career - Fluminense . Biography

He played for Fluminense from 1947 to 1964. The record holder of this team in the number of “dry” matches is 255. He was a three-time champion of the state of Rio, a two-time winner of the Rio São Paulo tournament, and also the winner of the international Rio Cup.

Castillo his whole life was distinguished by bold decisions: once he once again injured his finger, and the club doctor prescribed him a two-month treatment. However, Castillo did not wait, amputated his finger and returned to the gate. And in the 60th year, the Brazilian committed suicide for unknown reasons. He was found unconscious in his apartment - he opened his veins.
