Obscured by Clouds (translated from English - Hidden by Clouds) is the seventh studio album of the British progressive rock group Pink Floyd , released June 3, 1972 , the soundtrack to the French film " Valley " ( French "La VallΓ©e" ) by Barbe Schroeder . He was the director of the movie More , to which Pink Floyd also recorded the soundtrack .

About the album
The disc was recorded in six days in France, in the Chateau d'Herouville . As in the case of the soundtrack to the movie βMoreβ, on the album you can hear several modified versions of the compositions. "Obscured by Clouds" reached sixth place in the charts in the UK and 46th place in the United States .
In 1986 , the album was released on CD . The CD in the new digital mastering was published in March 1996 in the UK and in August in the USA.
The album is not very famous, but it is one of the most loved by the drummer of the band Nick Mason .
The cover design was done by Storm Torgeson 's Hipgnosis Studio, who repeatedly worked on the cover artwork for the group. This time, the cover was a deliberately unfocused frame from the movie " Valley ".
