History

The foundation of the village is associated with the emergence of the main industrial facility of the village - the Irshansky mining and processing plant , which specializes in the extraction and concentration of ilmenite ores (titanium ore). The placer deposits of ilmenite are located in a radius of six to twenty-one kilometers from Irshansk. The technology provides for the disclosure, mining and beneficiation of ore. At present, Irshansky GOK is part of the Crimean TITAN PJSC. This is one of the largest enterprises of this profile in Europe.

In January 1989, the population was 5794 people [2] .

Village holiday - Day of the metallurgist (celebrated on the third Sunday of July).
