Ground Forces
Argentine ground forces are one of the types of Argentine armed forces . Regionally consist of three operational commands - North-West, North-Eastern and Southern.
Composition
The ground forces include 3 Staff corps 11 brigades (2 armored, 4 mechanized, airborne , infantry for the jungle Action, 2 gornopehotnye, training) motokavaleriysky regiment (escort President ) mechanized infantry battalion, artillery group, 2 antiaircraft artillery groups, army aviation group , engineering battalion. The strategic reserve includes tank, mechanized and airborne brigades, which are subordinated to the headquarters of the corps in everyday situations.
Armament
The ground forces have 230 main and 128 light tanks, 123 infantry fighting vehicles , 123 combatants , 518 armored personnel carriers , 200 towed and 20 self-propelled guns , 6 MLRS , 1,760 mortars , 600 ATGM , 97 anti-aircraft guns , 80 MANPADS , 44 aircraft and 53 helicopters [ 2] .
