Vasadze Akaky Alekseevich ( Georgian აკაკი ალექსის ძე ვასაძე ; 1899 - 1978 ) - Soviet Georgian actor , theater director , teacher. People's Artist of the USSR ( 1936 ) [1] . Winner of three Stalin Prizes ( 1942 , 1946 , 1951 ).

Biography
Born on July 25 ( August 6 ), 1899 in Kutaisi (now in Georgia ).
In 1909 - 1918 he studied at the Kutaisi noble school [2] .
In 1917 - 1918, he worked as an artist- decorator at the Kutaisi Theater and there he first began performing on stage.
In 1918 - 1920 he studied at the Tiflis Drama Studio of G. Jabadari and at the same time at the Faculty of History of Tbilisi University .
In 1920 - 1921 - actor Tiflis State Drama.
In January — March 1921 - a soldier of the Aspindza battalion in Batumi , in March — August 1921 - an actor of the Batumi city theater .
From 1921 to 1958 - actor of the Georgian Theater. Sh. Rustaveli ( Tbilisi ) (in 1935 - 1942 - head of the artistic part of the theater, in 1938 - 1942 - director, in 1948 - 1955 - chief director).
In 1934 - 1936 he trained a group of Chechen artists who later worked in the Chechen State Drama Theater named after H. Nuradilov ( Grozny ).
From 1958 to 1969 - Artistic Director of the Lado Meshishvili Georgian Theater ( Kutaisi ).
From 1969 to 1978 - actor and director of the Rustavi Drama Theater .
Since 1923, starred in the movie.
From 1924 to 1939 - director-teacher of the Drama Studio at the Tbilisi Theater. Sh. Rustaveli, in 1939-1948 led pedagogical work in the Tbilisi Theater Institute. Sh. Rustaveli (since 1947 - professor in the department of acting).
Member of the CPSU (b) since 1939 . Deputy of the Armed Forces of the Georgian SSR of the 1st to 4th convocations.
A.A. Vasadze died on April 3, 1978 in Tbilisi , and was buried in the Didube pantheon , the burial place of artists, writers, public figures and scientists.
