It was formed as a result of the merger of two villages - Ploskaya and Kuzminki . Both of these villages arose in the first half of the 18th century. According to audit tales, it is known that in 1762 there were villages Verkhovye ( Kuzminskoe ) and Ploskaya . In the list of settlements in 1859, the villages are shown as one village: the village of Kazminskaya (Ploskaya Kazminka, Ploskaya) with a pond, 62 yards.
In the mid-19th century, the Church of Mikhail the Archangel (now
architectural monument (regional) ). Then she became a village.
The first part of the name is on a flat terrain, the second part is on a location in the upper Kuzminki River.
Nearby is the center of the village - the village of Bruslanovka .
