Geographical position
It is located on the left bank of the Peretny River , 2 km north of the village of Kotovo , 8 km north-east of the village of Kulotino , and 15 km north-east of the city of Okulovka .
At the eastern part of the village is the Okulovka – Nebolchi railway line laid here in 1941 during the defense of Leningrad during the Great Patriotic War .

Toponymy
The name of the village comes from the river Peretny .
History
In the XV — XVII centuries. the village of Peretyonka was located in the Shegrinsky graveyard of the Derevskaya Pyatina of Novgorod land . [3]
In the middle of the 15th century, in the village of Peretyonka, there was the central estate of the noble Novgorodian Andrei Repin. In the 1480s was the property of Ivan III . In 1495, the village belonged to a large Novgorod landowner Alexei Vasilievich Kvashnin . He himself lived in the estate. [four]
In the middle of the 16th century, the Church of the Archangel Michael and the warm Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker were built in Peretenka by Alexei Kvashnin, and his sons Semyon and Ivan owned the village and the estate. [5]

Transport
The village has a bridge over the Peretnu River on the road from Okulovka and Kulotino to Toporok and Kotovo.
On the opposite bank of the Peretny River is the village of Peretyonka II .
The nearest railway station is located in the village of Kotovo.
