Biography
He was educated in Senegal and France . From 1971 to 1978, he was Minister, including Minister of Economics, in the government of Moktar Ould Dadda . In particular, he contributed to the introduction of ugiya as a national currency. After the overthrow of Dadda in July 1978, Abdallahi was imprisoned until 1979 . In 1982 - 1985, he worked in Kuwait as an adviser to the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Cooperation. In 1986 - 1987 - Minister of Hydraulics and Energy, then Fisheries and Marine Economy, then arrested again on corruption charges. In 1989 - 2003, he worked in Niger in the same fund as a consultant.
In 2006, Abdullahi puts forward his independent candidacy in the presidential election after a military coup. He was seen as a candidate for the Military Council for Justice and Democracy under the leadership of Eli Ould Mohamed Wall , but won the second round thanks to the support of retired candidates.
As president, Abdullahi met with leaders of the Negroid Moorish rebels. He created the ADIL party. The fight against the budget deficit was carried out by reducing salaries to officials, and even to the president himself, as well as increasing oil exports.
In August 2008, Abdullahi fired the head of the presidential guard, Mohammed Abdulaziz , which led to a split in the ruling party and a military coup , as a result of which Abdullahi was overthrown.
