Melăesti ( Mold. Mălăieşti ) is a village in the Orhei district of Moldova . It is the administrative center of the Mălăesti commune, which also includes the village of Tirzien [5] .

History
In 1974, the Komsomol-youth collective of the dairy farm of the Malaesti pedigree farm in Orhei district became the laureate of the Boris Glavan Komsomol Prize in Moldavia in the field of production.
