Izvoare ( mold. Izvoare ) is a village in the Orhei district of Moldova . Along with the villages, Pohrebeni and Sherkan are included in the commune of Pohrebeni [5] .

Content
History
According to the Lists of Settlements of the Bessarabian Province for 1859 , Izvory - Rezesh village at the top of the ravine and Izvor key in 196 yards. The population was 389 people (196 men, 193 women) [6] . The village was part of the Orhei district of the Bessarabian province . There was one Orthodox church.
According to the reference book "Volosts and most important settlements of European Russia" for 1886 , Izvory is a Rezesh village with 89 yards and 426 inhabitants, the administrative center of Izvorskaya parish of Orhei county [7] .
Geography
The village is located at an altitude of 156 meters above sea level [1] .

According to the 2004 census , there were 364 people living in the village of Izvoara (175 men, 189 women) [2] .
