The game takes place between two warring parties: Omni-Tek Corporation and the Clans rebels. They fight for control of the planet and the deposits of Notum ^[2] . These microscopic robots can be programmed for any task, the effects of this are similar to magic , they can heat and cool objects, heal any wounds, protect against various harmful effects, and even opened up the possibility of resurrecting the dead using cloning technology after it was opened. n “ Soul ” is the informational component of man, which at the time of death, nanorobots are transferred to the newly created body.

Nanotechnology also allowed the creation of genetically modified races that live on Rubi-Ka: Solitus, Opifex, Nanomage, Atrox.

The game provides a mixed service. It is possible to play for free, but without access to content from add-ons (except Notum Wars, see below). All add-ons are available only for those who pay a monthly fee (by credit card or through the PayByCash payment service).

Due to the unprecedented level of fraud when buying Anarchy Online prepayd cards since March 2008, they are no longer sold.

It is only possible to activate the Shadowlands add-on, while the cost of the subscription is reduced.

Players are given the opportunity to choose gender, race (Atrox genderless race), the appearance of the character, his game name, side of the conflict: Omni-Tek, Neutral, Clan. The final stage of character creation is the choice of a profession (class) from the proposed: Adventurer, Agent, Bureaucrat, Doctor, Enforcer, Engineer, Fixer, Keeper, Martial Artist, Meta Physicist, Nano Technician, Shade, Soldier and Trader.

Each profession has its own unique skills and nanoprograms.

Anarchy Online is currently the most advanced skill system. All skills are available to anyone, regardless of race / profession. However, the ease of development of these skills depends on the chosen profession.

The maximum character level is 220 (200 initial and 20 levels have been added in the Shadowlands expansion). Alien Invasion brought 30 extra levels. 70 levels of research added to Lost Eden. There are also levels of global research for each of the parties to the conflict.

At the moment, the game released 3 full-fledged add-ons and 2 so-called. booster pack (small additions).

Notum Wars (booster pack)

In late November 2002, Anarchy Online received the Notum Wars extension. A key element of the Anarchy Online PvP system, the towers, has been added. In scale, this addition is comparable to the original game. It introduced a whole new world, 2 new professions (Keeper and Shade), new music, graphics, new objects, quests, monsters. Almost every game moment was affected.

Alien Invasion

In September 2004, developing this storyline, this addition comes out. Hordes of Rubi-Ka are attacked by hordes of aliens from nowhere to appear.

In this add-on, players are given the opportunity to build their own cities, open automated stores and repel alien attacks.

Lost Eden

On December 13, 2006, the Lost Eden add-on was released to enhance PvP .

In this add-on, players are given the opportunity to fight for control of orbital battle stations, pilot mechanized combat vehicles, and also attack alien spacecraft.

Legacy of the Xan (booster pack)

Legacy of the Xan became available on February 19, 2009 ^[3] . It further develops the storyline of the terrorist organization Dust Brigade and the aliens from Alien Invasion. New game zones, items, and upgrades for popular old items have appeared.
