The village was inhabited in 1923 .
The name is due to the fact that nearby are the keys (springs). To the south of Klyuchikov, the Repets River takes its source.
The village is located in close proximity to the Yelets highway ( Lipetsk - Yelets ). In the south there is a village cemetery .
