Practical items (from the Netherlands. Deel - part) is the marine term [1] , a common name for some auxiliary parts of the ship hull equipment, which mainly serve for fastening and wiring rigging , as well as parts of ship devices, interior equipment and open decks .
Practical items include staples, ducks , rings , lanyards , snorers, hawks , bollards , bales, bitts , eyelets , necks, similar hatches, ladders , doors, portholes , railing and awning racks, and others.
The main dimensions of practical things and the requirements for their mounting (assembly) on a ship are regulated by classification societies. Most practical items are standard.
