Geography
The village of Lunga is located on the left bank of the Reut River, about 7 km southwest of the center of Floresti . The nearest settlements are the villages of Marculesti , Bagrinesti , Prazhila and Gura-Kainarului .
The village is located at an altitude of 139 meters above sea level [2] .
Population
According to the 2004 census , 1980 people live in the village of Lunga (1001 men, 979 women) [3] .

Ecology
Near the village is located Merkulesti airport . Due to leaks of kerosene from airport storages, the ecological situation in the village is extremely unfavorable. Groundwater is contaminated with kerosene, but there is no water supply in the village [8] .
