Biography
Andrei Sokolov was born on August 13, 1962 in Moscow. The father is the chief engineer of the PMK24. From the age of 13, Andrew worked for his father as an apprentice plumber [2] . Studying at school, he was engaged in swimming, hockey, martial arts, was the prize-winner of Moscow in ballroom dancing [2] .
After graduating from school the second time [2] entered the Moscow Aviation Technology Institute , which he graduated in 1986 , and in 1991 - the evening department of the Institute of Foreign Languages .
In 1986 he entered the acting faculty of the BV Schukin Theater School for the course of L. V. Stavskaya , which he graduated in 1990 . In the same year he was invited to the troupe of the Moscow State Theater "Lenkom" , where he plays to this day. He also collaborates with the Mossovet Theater and the Moon Theater [3] .
He got the first role in the film by chance: he, strolling around the film studio in anticipation of a familiar actress, was noticed by director Vitaly Makarov and invited him to the film “ She is with a broomstick, he is in a black hat” [2] .
Andrei Sokolov gained All-Union popularity after playing the leading role in the film “ Little Faith ” (1988). Also prominent were his roles in such films as “The Art of Living in Odessa ” (1989), “The Executioner ” (1990), “ Tsar Ivan the Terrible ” (1991), “ The Prediction ” (1993), “ The Mystery of Queen Anne, or Musketeers thirty years later ”(1993).
In 1998 he graduated from the higher courses of scriptwriters and directors , where he studied under V. V. Menshov and V. Ya. Motyl [3] .

Participation in the elections to the Moscow City Duma (2019)
In June 2019, he announced that he intends to be nominated as a candidate for deputies of the Moscow City Duma in 43 electoral districts (includes the Arbat , Presnensky , Khamovniki districts ) in the upcoming September 8 elections [7] .
The headquarters of Alexei Navalny announced the discovery in Moscow of the premises where there was a massive falsification of signatures in support of candidates for the elections to the Moscow City Duma, including Andrei Sokolov. Sokolov said that he had already collected enough signatures, and he did not need to engage in fraud [8] .
FBK lawyer Lyubov Sobol , a candidate for deputy of the Moscow City Duma, stated that the signatures in support of the candidate Andrei Sokolov were forged. She published a video in which her associates conduct an apartment survey at the addresses allegedly indicated in Sokolov’s subscription lists. Residents of these apartments on camera say that no one came to them, they did not put signatures for the candidates [9] .
On July 16, 2019, Andrei Sokolov was denied registration by an election commission in the 43rd district as a candidate for participating in the Moscow City Duma elections. In his subscription lists, 580 signatures were invalidated [10] . [eleven]
