US Senator from Arizona (1995 - 2013; from September 4 to December 31, 2018). Member of the Republican Party . The son of John Henry Kyle, who was a member of the US House of Representatives from Iowa .

Biography

He graduated from the University of Arizona , received a degree in law (1966) and practiced law in the city of Phoenix .

In 1987 - 1995 - Member of the US House of Representatives .

He was elected to the US Senate in 1994 . He was re-elected in 2000 and 2006.

In 2012, he refused to be re-elected to the Senate, and his seat was again taken by the Republican - Jeff Flake , who defeated the Democrat Richard Carmona in the election campaign [3] .

On September 4, 2018, it became known that Arizona Governor Doug Dewey appointed Kyle to a Senate seat vacated after the death of John McCain .

Kyle said he would not run in the early elections in 2020 [4] .

On December 18, 2018, Governor Dewsy announced the appointment of Martha Maxally as US Senator in the place that would be vacated after Kyle’s resignation scheduled for December 31, 2018 [5] .
