History
The first coat of arms of the city of Ishimbay was approved in 1999 by a decision of the Presidium of the Ishimbay City Council among 80 works that were proposed by more than forty people. The author of the coat of arms is L. B. Bakhteev [2] [3] .
The modern coat of arms of Ishimbay city was approved by the Council of the city settlement of Ishimbay city of the Republic of Bashkortostan dated July 14, 2006 No. 10/86, entered in the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation with assignment of registration number 3238 and in the State Register of Symbols in the Republic of Bashkortostan with assignment of registration number 048. Some the elements of the new coat of arms practically coincide with the abolished. Its authors are Rafael Rashitovich Kadyrov and Chingiz Askhatovich Yarullin [1] .
Symbolization Justification
Emblem description: “In a green field, a silver narrow overturned rafter (tamga of the Bashkir clan of Yurmata ), the left side of which is wider and extended to the bottom of the shield, filled with azure, in which a mountain scarred with a saddle on top, bordered with silver at the top, burdened with a golden abstract fountain about two jets and accompanied in azure by the golden inflorescence of kurai ” [1] .
The emergence and development of the city of Ishimbay is associated with the discovery of oil fields. Well No. 702 , the first oil fountain in 1932 and located on the territory of the city, is depicted with a symbolic image of a golden fountain. Ishimbay is the administrative center of the Ishimbay region , the connection with the nature of which is reflected in two elements - a green field and a symbolic image of Mount Tratau (a silver strip with a saddle). The silver overturned rafter - a stylized tribal tamga of the Bashkir tribe of Yurmata and at the same time the right lane symbolizes the Belaya River , which is two times wider than the left lane representing the Tayruk river. Gold color symbolizes justice, wealth and independence, green symbolizes abundance, joy and freedom. Azure depicts beauty and grandeur, red - victory and love. The golden kurai over Mount Tratau symbolizes the holding of kurultays of Bashkir tribes on this mountain [1] .
