Victor Semenovich Bukharov (born December 16, 1944 , Ishimbay , Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic ) is a Soviet and Russian painter, watercolorist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR , Russia since 1973.

He graduated from art school in Novosibirsk (1964).
Member of national and international exhibitions. The works were exhibited in England, Poland, Cuba, Morocco, the Pert Gallery in Australia. Member of the project “Unknown Russia. Modern Siberian painting ”, Belgium (1998-2003). Works in state museums and in private collections in Russia and abroad.
A participant in the cultural and educational project “To the Artist’s Studio”, where everyone is given free access and excursions to the artists ’creative workshops [1] .

Art critic Vladimir Nazansky noted:
Bukharov is a bright artist, a strong man. In 1970-1980 with his name in Novosibirsk was associated inaccessible to most individual freedom of creativity. His energetic passionate painting did not contain a hint of a compromise with the doctrine and practice of then dominant socialist realism. Employees of the ideological front removed some of his works from the Exhibitions, his solo exhibition 23 years ago was subjected to exemplary condemnation, but unexpectedly received the support of most of those present. [...] Bukharov is not just a man who makes pictures, he is an artist by his inner essence. He does not make a picture-product, but a picture-act. Someone measures time by hours, Bukharov - written works, internal sensations. His work is deeply autobiographical, despite the growing measure of conventionality. [one]
Journalist Asya Shumilova writes:
Bukharov says that he is "born with a sense of color." In early childhood, living in Bashkiria, the future artist, running through a flowering meadow, collected huge bouquets of flowers and laid out color compositions from them, which always surprised and delighted his loved ones. At the beginning of his career, he wrote in a realistic manner, but later became interested in expressionism. [2]
