The Mummy's Hand is a black and white horror film by Christy Kabann from the Classic series of horror films from Universal . The plot of this film is in no way intertwined with the plot of the Mummy (1932), so the Hand of the Mummy cannot be considered a continuation of this film. It is a common misconception that the 1959 film The Mummy is a remake of this particular film. In fact, The Mummy of 1959 is a remake of The Tombs of the Mummy , a sequel to the Kaben movie.

Story
The film begins in Ancient Egypt , when Prince Haris tries to revive his beloved , deceased Princess Ananka, using powerful spells. He does not succeed in doing this - he is caught and severely punished for such sacrilege - his tongue was pulled out from the priest, and he himself was buried alive, making him the eternal guard of the well-hidden grave of Ananka.
Then the action of the film is transferred to the XX century . Archaeologists learn about the mysterious tomb - Stephen Bunning and Babe Jenson have irrefutable evidence of the existence of this tomb, but they do not have money to excavate. A certain Andoheb also finds out about the find of archaeologists. Now he works in the Cairo Museum, but in fact he is a secret follower of the ancient priests and the heir to their secrets.
Tomb seekers find an old vase in the Cairo bazaar, which also turns out to be a mysterious map. The magician Solvani joins the expedition with his daughter Marta. As a result, scientists still find the tomb, but there is not a princess buried there, but a man. Suddenly, Andoheb appears at the excavation site, which revives the mummy. As a result, Haris kills one of the expedition members. Then he comes to the camp and carries out a pogrom there, and also abducts Martha. The girl ends up in the temple, where Andoheb is going to conduct a ritual over her and herself that gives immortality.
Beib succeeds in killing Andoheb, but after the death of the priest, Haris is completely out of control. Nevertheless, scientists manage to destroy the stocks of potions that revive the mummy, and Haris himself is burned. In the final scene, researchers receive a telegram announcing the appointment of Bunning as director of the US Archaeological Museum.
