Androkl ( dr. Greek. Ἄνδροκλος ) - a character in ancient Greek mythology. The son of Codra . He brought the colony to Ephesus . According to Strabo, he expelled the Carians and Lelegs [1] . According to Pausanias, he expelled Lelegians and Lydians from the country, made an alliance with those who lived near the shrine of Artemis . Captured Samos. He went to defend the inhabitants of Priene against the Carians, the Greeks won, but Androclus was killed. Grave in Ephesus [2] .
His descendants were called kings [3] . The descendant of Androclus was the philosopher Heraclitus [4] .
