Parthenos ( dr. Greek Παρθένος "virgin") is a character in ancient Greek mythology. Daughter of Stafil and Chrysophemis . From Chersonesos of the Carian. [1] She kept her father's wine with her sister , but he was spoiled by pigs . Fearing the wrath of their father, they rushed off the rocks. Apollo saved them, Parthenos began to honor in the sanctuary in Bubast [2] .
According to another version, she is the daughter of Apollo and Chrysophemis , who died in childhood, which Apollo made the constellation Virgo [3] .
