The village arose in the first half of the 17th century . It is known that in 1648, in connection with the construction of the Belgorod line, Karamyshevo was included in Sokolsky uyezd and moved to a safer place on the right bank of Voronezh. In the old village was placed a standing prison. At the end of the XVII century, the village "returned" to its former place. In 1880 , according to the Central Statistical Committee, in the village there were 288 households with 2016 residents [2] . The name is from the surname Karamyshev. It is found among servicemen of the XVII century in documents.
In Karamyshev there is the Church of St. John the Evangelist [3] (built in 1864 ; an architectural monument (regional) ) and a cemetery located on different sides of the village. There are several small lakes in the floodplain of Voronezh. The Karamyshevo highway is connected with the village of Soshki .
